Reading: Matthew 11:2-11

Advent: The Messiah We Need

As we journey through Advent, let us remember that our Messiah is not confined by our expectations. Like John the Baptist discovered, Jesus’ love transcends every boundary, reaching further and deeper than we can imagine.

During this season of Advent, may the Holy Spirit ignite a fire of love within our hearts so we may seek out the lost, those who are rejected, marginalized, cast aside, and looked down upon, so that we might share, without exception, the love of our Messiah, Jesus Christ. He is a Messiah who may not arrive as we imagine, yet always comes as the One we truly need.
He is the hope for every aching heart, the healer for every wounded soul, the light for every shadowed path.

He is the Messiah we need. He is the Messiah that the world, in all its beauty and brokenness, is yearning for.
