Sermon: November 09, 2025

Reading: Luke 20:27-38

Imagine waking up in a world where every wall that divides us has crumbled. A world where no one is judged by wealth, status, ethnicity, race, background, or any other way we divide humanity. In this world, everyone is treated equally and embraced with compassion. Today’s gospel doesn’t just invite us to dream of such a world. It calls us to help create it. A world defined not by prejudices or exclusion, but one overflowing with the boundless life God desires to share with all humanity.

In the reading from Luke’s gospel, we’re offered more than a theological debate between the Sadducees and Jesus. We’re given a window into God's heart, allowing us to see the destiny that’s desired for all of God’s children. But to truly see through that window and to envision our destiny, we need to open our hearts to the challenges Jesus presents in this story and the hope it offers us today.
